You Can Help

Thankfully we have made significant progress on keeping lodges out of our parks, or ensuring that they are environmentally responsible, such as yurts in Cape Scott. See Parks at Risk.

As a result, at this time, we do not need the public to take any action. We will, however, keep you apprised of any new issues that arise.

What People Say...
"We're recreational packers who visit our wilderness parks/areas regularly. We're retired seniors. ages 76, 67 and 56. We're motivated to stay fit by our chosen recreation. We don't fall into Minister Penner's category of the elderly who need park developments to appreciate and enjoy our wilderness areas.
It's disturbing to us to imagine any commercial operation/facility in these areas. Accommodations? Bar? Casino? Wine tasting? Shops? We oppose Penner's commercial developments in parks. We enjoy our wilderness areas as Nature provides. We practice LEAVE NO TRACE principles. Penner should too."
